I was studying through CEA CAPA in London. Our building was in Kensington, which was surrounded by so many amazing art museums and parks, along with some great shopping. The CEA CAPA center was very different from what I was used to. It was a smaller building, with four floors, and most of the same people in all of my classes, which I am not used to at all since Pitt is so big. The CEA CAPA program emphasized integrating international ideas into its courses. This approach has allowed me to explore marketing and business strategies from a global viewpoint. It was a refreshing and enriching complement to my studies in America. A standout feature of the program is its focus on experiential learning. The integration of internships, cultural immersion activities, and city-focused projects allows me to directly apply what I learn in the classroom to real-world scenarios. For instance, my internship at The Fashion Library has deepened my understanding of marketing strategies in the fashion industry while honing my adaptability in a fast-paced, international environment. London’s diversity is one of its most striking features. The city is a melting pot of cultures, with residents and visitors from all over the world. This diversity has provided an opportunity to learn about various cultural traditions, cuisines, and perspectives, enriching my understanding of global interconnectedness. It also makes London a vibrant hub for exploring international marketing and business strategies. London has a distinct energy, blending its historical charm with a modern, fast-paced lifestyle. The city’s work culture is characterized by its flexibility and adaptability, which contrasts with the structured work environments I’ve experienced in the United States. This dynamic approach has pushed me to enhance my multitasking and communication skills, especially as I balance the hectic schedules of my internship and academic commitments.
