Kevork Zeibari, Business, Technology, and Engineering: The German Way Summer 2024
During my two-week study abroad program in Munich, I had the wonderful opportunity to interact closely with local German students who served as our ambassadors. These student ambassadors played a crucial role in helping us acclimate to the new environment and culture. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the program was participating in various structured activities designed to introduce us to German culture. We visited historical sites, explored museums, and took part in cultural events. These activities provided a common ground for us to connect with our German counterparts. One of the most memorable activities was cooking traditional German dishes together. This hands-on experience was not only fun but also allowed us to bond over a shared meal, learning about each other’s culinary traditions and preferences.
Outside of the official activities, we often hung out with the German student ambassadors in more informal settings. We explored the English Garden, one of Munich’s most beautiful parks, where we would relax, chat, and enjoy the scenic views. These outings to the park were perfect for casual conversations and getting to know each other better. Additionally, we frequently went out to local restaurants and cafes, sampling a variety of German cuisines. These dining experiences were invaluable for building friendships and understanding the local way of life.
